Halo 4 Xbox360
Halo 4
Hello everyone, today I am going to talk about an awesome game, halo 4. It just came out not long ago and I have finished the whole game on my Xbox360. I am just going to give a quick review about the game without giving any details about the gameplay, endings, etc, just don't want to spoil the your game. :)
Halo 4 in action
As you may know, halo 4 is a first-person shooting game published by Microsoft Studios on the platform Xbox360. The game was released in most territories worldwide on 6 November 2012. Halo 4's story begins 4 years after the ending of Halo 3. In this game, you will be controlling the Master Chief, a cybernetically enhanced supersoldier. The story takes place on a Forerunner planet, where you will be encountering a rare type of alien races known as the Covenant and ancient warriors of the Forerunner empire know as the Prometheans.
Prometheans
Although Halo 4 is a shooter game, you will switch to third-person perspective when using certain type of weapons, armor abilities and vehicles. Your head-up display shows real time information on the player character's armor system, for example the shield status, information on current weapons that you are equipping, and also display indicators for goals and objectives during that specific time. It contains a motion tracker too, which will be able to detect allies, enemies and vehicles within a certain range from you.
In this game, Covenant will return as foes, and you will be introduced with a new type of enemy called the Prometheans, who serve under the Forerunners. There are 3 types of Prometheans, Knights serve as groups' leaders and considered as the main force of the Promethean army. Crawlers, on the other hand are weaker, but they tend to attack in a large packs. Watchers, which are deployed by Knights, offer support and can shield or revive the fallen Promethean allies.
Halo 4 Armor ability
Besides having more updated version of many UNSC and Covenant weaponry from the previous Halo games series, there also will be more new weapons for the humans, Covenant and Prometheans. The armor abilities that you will be having throughout the game were introduced in Halo: Reach on Xbox360. Returning armor abilities, such as active camouflage, halogram and jetpack, new abilities include hardlight shield, Promethean vision, regeneration field, autosentry and thruster pack. You will be able to use the sprinting ability freely and independently in the game too.
Meeting with Cortana
You will find yourself inside the frigate Forward Unto Dawn at the beginning of the game. Cortana will wake you up shortly before Covenant forces board the vessel as it approaches the Forerunner planet Requiem. You will then explore Requiem with Cortana but Cortona will begin to malfunction. She will then reveal that she is far past the usual operating period of an Al and she is becoming rampant, a mental state where Als slowly 'think' themselves to death. You will then promise to get her to Earth, believing that Doctor Catherine Halsey, her creator would be able to reverse her condition.
After that, you will then pick up garbled transmissions from a human ship, Infinity. Cortana attempts to warn Infinity away from Requiem's gravity well and directs you to deactivate the gammers interfering with the communications. Instead, you will release the Didact from the prison and the Didact will quickly take control of the Prometheans and Covenant and attacks Infinity after it is dragged into Requiem.

I am not going to reveal the story line any further, having no intention to put all the spoilers inside my quick review about the game. In conclusion, Halo 4 features a beautiful single player campaign but it is too short and can get a bit scripted and repetitive from time to time. However, the vehicle segments keep the game interesting, especially in the co-op mode. Halo 4 is a very good game by itself, but its lack of innovation, linear game play, short SP campaign, a standard multiplayer mode and its propensity to force the unwieldy Waypoint system to get the complete Halo experience prevents it from replicating the greatness of Halo 3.
